Naprapathy is a specialized system of health care employs gentle, hands-on manual therapy by using a holistic-based nutritional counseling. If you have any imbalances or restrictions that can cause pain, we offer a wide range of therapeutic modalities such as laser therapy.
Through this form of treatment, we can focus on conditions caused by contracted, injured, spasmed, bruised, or otherwise impaired areas of your body and its effect on the musculoskeletal system. Characterized by a combination of manual musculoskeletal manipulations, this treatment aims to decrease pain and improve mobility.
Following a long-term study on the effects of this treatment on the back and the neck, it revealed several differences between different groups. The result of the study showed that naprapathy was a favorable form of treatment versus standard allopathic evidence-based advice.
Laser Therapy
Having been utilized in Europe since the 1970s, this mode of treatment was cleared by the United States FDA in 2004. By employing the most advanced Class IV therapeutic laser that delivers specific red and near-infrared wavelengths of laser light, we can induce a photochemical reaction to enhance tissue healing. This therapeutic effect helps reduce inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain.
The laser energy used in the treatment will increase circulation, which will draw water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. Overall, it improves the transport of nutrients across the membrane, stimulating the increased production of cellular energy (ATP). It also interacts with tissues at the cellular level, causing an increase in metabolic activity within the cell. These changes result to increased cellular function and tissue repair.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
This branch of medicine, also known as physiatry, aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with conditions that impair their mobility. Physiatrists specialize in restoring optimal function to patients that have injuries in their muscles, bones, tissues, and nervous system. Our PM&R physicians are expected to perform the following:
Physical Therapy
Health care professionals in this field are primarily concerned with the remediation of impairments and disabilities. Their focus on the promotion of mobility, functional ability, and quality of life is achieved through examination and physical intervention. Our primary physical therapist is a doctor of physical therapy and possesses board certification.
Nutritional Counseling
Our counseling focuses on helping clients understand foods and their role in preventative nutrition. We advise our patients on how their diets effect their health and well-being as well as preventing disease and losing weight. At our facility, we focus on a holistic-based functional medicine by using food and organic products in our treatments.
